As promised in my previous post, here’s the recipe for the meatza I made for hubby’s birthday meal this week. It was so delicious it’ll definitely become a regular feature for us.

Ingredients:
(base) 200g beef mince
100g pork mince
Egg
2 tbsp ground almonds
Tbsp basil
Tbsp tomato purée
Tbsp balsamic vinegar
(topping) balsamic onions as per this recipe
6 mushrooms – thinly sliced
3 or 4 tomatoes – thinly sliced
100g broccoli – cut into small florets
100g Roquefort cheese

Method:
– preheat your oven to 190 degrees

– thoroughly mix together all the base ingredients with your hands and press them into a pizza tray if you have one, large baking tray if you don’t. It should look something like the first photo above

– cook for ten mins, it will look like a gigantic very thin burger

– leave to cool a little, then spread over the onions (as you would normally spread tomato sauce over a pizza)

– layer your toppings ontop of the onions, then cook for 6-8 mins until the cheese has melted

– serve with a green salad
